These Pencil Composition Drawings are done for initial client-agency meetings to talk through marketing ideas. The samples here were done for an agency presentation to Stanley Tools celebrating their 150th year anniversary. My assignment was to come up with ideas for vehicles promoting their products in Home Depot Stores. The pencil comp drawings are loose, not very detailed, but rendered nicely enough to talk through in a meeting to give the client direction. In these cases it helps to be able to think outside the box, and be able to communicate ideas in a drawing that doesn’t take long to create. These pencil drawings are first lightly rendered for the basic idea, then tightened up with black colored pencil for presentation.
